·          Be sure to look at the category under the board. If it says “Things,” for instance, you know the answer won’t be the name of a person.

·          The most commonly appearing letters in English are the letters supplied in the bonus round: the consonants R, S, T, L, and N, and the vowel E. In the regular round, you might want to guess those consonants first, and if you’re really stuck, buy an e.

·          If you’ve got a lot of missing letters when you’re solving the puzzle, it’s probably fastest just to type the whole solution, typing over the letters that are already there. If you’ve just got a few missing letters, though, use the TAB key to jump to each empty slot.

·          Whether you should solve the puzzle as soon as you know the solution or wait until you’ve bought all the consonants depends on how much virtual money you’ve got. The longer you spin, the greater the chance you’ll go bankrupt, but if you’ve just got a few hundred dollars, the risk is probably worth it.
