Install Windows Games (In-box) games
Some Windows operating systems come pre-installed with games like Solitaire and Minesweeper. Additionally, Windows XP comes with Windows Internet Games. If you recently restored your system or upgraded your system, you may need to reinstall these games. The games install through Windows components and may require your Windows CD-ROM disk.
Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel. In Windows XP, click Start and then Control Panel.
If the Control Panel window is empty, click View all Control Panel Options in the left section of the window to show all the icons.
Click Add/Remove Programs.
Click Add/Remove Windows Components, and double click Accessories and Utilities.
Double click Games.
Check Internet Games or the games you wish to install and click OK.
Note: if this option is checked, the game installation may be damaged or otherwise corrupted. Follow the steps in the below support article to uninstall the games. Once the games are uninstalled, repeat the above instructions to reinstall them.
