“How do I install the MSN Search Toolbar and the MSN Games button?”

To add the MSN Search Toolbar and the Games button, follow the steps below. (If you already have the MSN Toolbar installed, please verify you have the latest version)

Step 1

Go to http://toolbar.msn.com

Step 2

Click Download Toolbar Now - FREE.

Step 3

A File Download – Security Warning window will appear, click Run.

Step 4

Next an Internet Explorer – Security Warning window will appear, click Run again.

Step 5

The MSN Search Toolbar Installation Wizard will open, click Next. (For users who do not have Outlook installed, a pop-up will appear asking if you would like to continue installing, click Next.)

Step 6

A window will appear asking you to accept the user agreement, check the box next to “I agree to the terms of use and privacy statement” and click Next.

Step 7

The MSN Search Toolbar will begin installing.

Step 8

The MSN Search Toolbar Customization Wizard will appear, click Next. (If you check the “Use the default settings and close this wizard” box you can skip to step 13)

Step 9

Select the items that you would like to display and click Next. The toolbar will not appear in Internet Explorer unless you choose “Display the MSN Search Toolbar for Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.”

Step 10

Choose whether or not you would like to participate in the Customer Experience Improvement Program by clicking in the Yes or No boxes.

Step 11

Select or deselect any options and click Next.

Step 12

Check the “See a list of available add-ins” box and click Finish.

Step 13

The http://addins.msn.com page will open in an Internet Explorer browser.

Step 14

Scroll to the Add-ins for MSN Search Toolbar.

Step 15

Click on Games Add-in and click Download.

Step 16

A File Download – Security Warning window will appear, click Run.

Step 17

Next an Internet Explorer – Security Warning window will appear, click Run again.

Step 18

The Installation Folder window will appear, click Next.

Step 19

The Games Add-in will begin installing.

Step 20

The Installation Complete window will appear, click Close.

Step 21

Launch Internet Explorer to view the MSN Games button on the toolbar.

To find which version of the MSN Search Toolbar is installed on your computer, follow the steps below.

Step 1

Click the MSN logo on the toolbar.

Step 2

Click on Help, and click About MSN Search Toolbar.

View your version number under the section titled Version information:
