“My album does not load. Or, my badges do not appear in the game window”

Note: You must sign into your MSN Games account to receive a badge or view your album

Give the album time to load

Your badge album may take time to load. The wait time can be several minutes, or more for users with slower connections like dial-up accounts. Wait a few minutes to see if the album is still loading.

If a server issue or outage is preventing your album or a badge from loading, you should receive an error message indicating this issue. Try accessing your album or the game at a later time.

Install or update Macromedia® Flash Player

Your album is viewed with Macromedia Flash Player, an Internet browser plug-in. If for some reason the plug-in did not install or if it had become corrupt, you may need to install the plug-in directly from Macromedia’s website.

Step 1

Close any programs you have open on your computer.

Step 2

Log on to the Internet.

Step 3

Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ and click Macromedia Flash Player.

Step 4

Click Install Now and follow the online directions to install the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player.

If after installing the Macromedia Flash Player you still experience problems, it is likely that some settings or preferences for your Internet connection are preventing the album from loading properly. Follow the instructions below to optimize your preferences.

Close all open programs

Macromedia Flash Player can load slowly if your system’s resources are being used by other programs. To learn how to disable any open programs on your system, click:

Disable programs currently running on your system

Once you close these programs, restart your Internet connection and keep your Web browser windows to a minimum. Now try accessing your album again.

Enable Internet browser options to play the game

Most commonly, your album will not load if required Internet browser settings (ActiveX controls) have become disabled. The quickest way to enable these Internet settings is to reset your computer system’s Security Settings to the default system settings. To learn how to reset your computer system’s Security Settings, click:

Enable Internet browser options to play the game

Empty Temporary Internet Files

Windows temporarily stores (caches) Internet files on your system in the Temporary Internet Files folder. If this folder is full or files within it become corrupted, the game may have problems loading. Periodically emptying this folder can improve the performance of your Internet browser. To learn how to empty the Internet cache, click:

Check your system for anti-virus and Internet security software

Check your system for anti-virus software or Internet security software, including anti-pop-up software, and try disabling this software. These types of software have been known to cause a “Web Page Error” or prevent your album from loading at all. To learn how to check your system for this software and to disable it, click:
