Refresh the game window |
|

|
|
|
Most often this problem occurs when the game table graphics do not refresh. You can refresh the game window by following these steps: |
|
|

|
|
|
|

|
Step 1 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Click the minimize (“_”) button in the upper right corner of your browser. The game window will disappear from the screen but its button remains on the Windows taskbar: “MSN Games -- <game name> <room name>” |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 2 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Click the button on the taskbar, and the window will open again. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 3 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The graphics in the game room should be refreshed. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note for Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP Professional users: |

|
|
|
|
|
In order to play on MSN Games, you will need to log in to your computer as an administrator. If you are not logged in as an administrator, you may not be able to install components necessary to run some games or make changes to your computer system’s settings. Please contact the computer’s owner or your network or IT administrator if you need assistance logging in as an administrator. |

|
|
|

Adjust the hardware acceleration for your computer system’s video card |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
If the problem persists, try adjusting the hardware acceleration for your computer system’s video card by following the steps below. |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 1 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Close all programs and restart your computer. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 2 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel. In Windows XP, just click Start and then Control Panel. If the Control Panel window is empty, click View all Control Panel Options in the left section of the window to show all the icons. |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 3 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Double-click Display. In Microsoft Windows XP, you may need to click Appearances and Themes and then Display. |
|

|
|
|

Step 4 |

Click the Settings tab. |

|
|
|
Step 5 |

Click Advanced. |

Click the Troubleshooting or Troubleshoot tab to open the “Hardware acceleration” control window. |

In the hardware acceleration section, move the slider with your left mouse button to lower the current setting to one of these:
Two notches to the right of None: Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations.
One notch to the right of None: Disable all bug basic accelerations.
None: Disable all accelerations. |

Step 8 |

|
Click Apply and OK. If prompted, restart your computer. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 9 |

|
|
|
|
|
|
Try the game again. |

|
|
|
To reset your graphics acceleration to Full, just follow the previous steps again. |

|
|
Update your computer system’s video card driver |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Many video-related issues can be resolved by updating the drivers and/or bios for your computer system’s video card or graphics controller. These video card driver updates improve a computer’s overall performance. To obtain the latest drivers and/or bios available for your video card or graphics controller, contact your computer manufacturer or video card manufacturer for assistance. |
