Game Room Terminology

Game Room: The rooms listed on a game’s main Web page. These game rooms (sometimes referred to as lobbies) contain:

·          Game tables: where games are played

·          Player list:  the list of all the players in a room

·          Chat feature: (Only available to players signed into MSN Games)

Game Table: Each game table is represented on the game room page either a table with chairs. To join a table that looks like a table, you click one of the chairs; in box-type tables, you click the Join button. When the host launches the game, a page will pop up displaying playing cards, customizable game settings, and a chat tool.

Bridge has 75 tables, which are listed in numeric order. To view all the game tables in a game room, use the scroll bar between the game tables and the Players List.

List of players: The list of players shows the total number and types of players in a room. Players are listed by nickname in numerical and alphabetical order; names beginning with numbers or spaces appear at the top of the list. To navigate the Players List, use the scroll bar to the left of the list.

The Friends category contains your nickname and the nicknames of any MSN Games players you have added to your Friends list.

People are MSN Games players present in a room who are not on your Friends list.

If you are an MSN Games player, you can click a player’s nickname with your right mouse button to view the player’s profile, add the player to your Friends list, ignore the player, or view the player’s ratings.
