| British Rules
When using British rules, you play to 11 points instead of 10. However, in Zone.com Euchre, you can set the number of points to game. A benny, also known as a Joker, is added to the deck and is the highest trump.
During gameplay, when the turn-up card is the benny, the dealer must pick a suit for trump before anyone looks at their cards, and the dealer's team become the makers. In British rules, the dealer's partner can only take down the turn-up card. If the dealer's partner takes down, he becomes the maker and plays alone.
Cutthroat Euchre
In this variation of Euchre, there are no partnerships. It's every player for him or herself. Be careful not to get euchred, because if you do, your opponents score 2 points each.
