I am having trouble installing ActiveX

Some Messenger games require that an ActiveX object be installed on your machine in order to play. If you see an error window indicating that you need ActiveX, it means that one of the game files was not properly installed on your machine. Steps for fixing this issue are below:

Fix #1: Verify that you are an administrator on your computer

Step 1

Go to Start -> Control Panel

Step 2

Select User Accounts

Step 3

Select the Advanced tab

Step 4

Click the Advanced button

Step 5

Select Groups folder

Step 6

Double-click Administrators and look for your account

Note:

If you do not see your account it means you are not an administrator. You will need to contact your computer’s administrator for permission to install ActiveX controls.

Fix #2: Adjust the security setting in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0

Step 1

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

Step 2

In the Internet Options dialog box, open the Security tab.

Step 3

Click the Internet icon. If you have already set a level of security, click Internet Zone and click the Default Level button and then click OK.
